I really do think a beautiful, clean space is required for the production of great art. Obviously great art has been and will continue to be created without it, but in an ideal world everyone who wanted/needed it would have access to a clean work surface, high ceilings, white walls, and natural light. This kind of thing can be hard to access without $$$, and honestly there is almost nothing new young artists lack more than money, am I right?

Enter Artscape Youngplace’s new Young Artist Residency program! Successful applicants will receive six weeks of exclusive access to semi-private studio space in Artscape’s Flex Studios and a featured one-week exhibition in the building’s Hallway Galleries, plus artistic and promotional support from the gallery during the lead up to the exhibition.

The program is looking for emerging artists (i.e. students and recent grads of art programs as well as anyone else at the beginning stages of their professional careers) across all creative disciplines. Fill in the online application form here, and get going! Natural liiiiiiiight!!!
