Back for its fifth year, Christie Pits Film Festival returns this summer with Great Villians, a series of outdoor movies spotlighting some of cinema’s favourite antagonists.

Great Villians kicks off Sunday July 5 with a special opening night event called A Toronto Symphony of Horror. Included in the opening night’s program will be a screening of the German silent horror classic, Nosferatu (F.W. Murnau, 1922), as well as two local short films that pay homage to classic cinema, Wakening and Silent Garden.

The full list of Great Villians films will be announced Tuesday June 9 at the Launch Party Fundraiser. The main event of the evening will be Quentin Tarantino’s unforgettable Pulp Fiction at 9pm.
