Songs: A Dance Party was a beloved Toronto monthly that said goodbye a month ago. But, they promised they’d bring it back once and a while, for very, very special occasions. We’d say this counts. This Friday, Andy Rourke of the Smiths will DJ a one-off comeback edition of Songs: A Dance Party. On a boat.
Fans will board the River Gambler cruise ship, and enjoy a DJ set from Rourke, as well as live performances by Dwayne Gretzky, July Talk and Stella Ella Ola. Tickets are $15 and available in advance at Rotate This, Soundscapes, or online.
So get naughty, get nautical, take to the high seas (or lake, whatever) with The Smiths for a seriously memorable night of music.
