From July 12 to 29, Harbourfront Centre presents Brave: The Festival of Risk and Failure, a multidisciplinary showcase of some of the world’s most unconventional and eccentric thinkers. The artists featured at this inaugural festival are bold, defiant and all possess the common theme of disrupting the status quo. Headliners include John Waters, Bif Naked and Bassem Youssef.

Brave explores the question, “If all we have to fear is fear itself, why be afraid?” Through the use of spoken word, musical performance, dance, film, photography, visual arts, poetry and more, a multitude of artists will courageously share their stories, risks, failures and triumphs–all of which have made them the trailblazers they are today. Prepare to be empowered, puzzled, and perhaps brought to tears by this stellar programming.

Think you’re brave enough? The festival takes place at Harbourfront Centre from July 12 to 29. To get more info on dates and tickets, click here. Please note that some of the events at Brave are free, while others are paid.
