The Regent Park Film Festival is in its 14th(!) year and to celebrate we’re hitting up Daniels Spectrum (585 Dundas St. E) to watch as many films as we can manage. From November 23rd to 26th, enjoy free admission (AND free childcare) while you catch a flick (or three).

We’re hyped for the Emerging Directors Spotlight (where eight directors under twenty-six years of age will screen their outstanding short films), Eastern (chronicling the dynamic story of four basketball players from Eastern Commerce Collegiate Institute) and As I Open My Eyes (which tells the story of Tunisian youth on the night of the Jasmine Revolution).

Also new this year is an entire day dedicated to family-friendly programming (films are rated PG or less and children are welcome to get up and move around during the show). If you and the little ones are hungry, stop in on Saturday, November 26 at 9AM for Breakfast and a Movie to kick off the Family program. In addition, there will be an ongoing interactive space featuring web-based projects, virtual reality and digital installations open to the public all festival long.

All films are free of course, but you can reserve your seat early to avoid being disappointed. See you there!
