As usual, The Drake Hotel is the place to be for the festival. They’ve got a line up of amazing events, food, and cocktails, and they’re calling it Open Call, rolling out the red carpet for the entire city to come celebrate the love of film.

The Drake has always been a hot spot for all things TIFF, from celebrity spotting on the Sky Yard to afterparties in the Underground to late night celebration (a grand tradition they’re continuing this year with 4 am last call.) They’ve got live music every night of the fest, and a delicious Prix Fixe special, perfect to fuel your party nights and inspire great conversation. Discuss inspiring cinema over sea urchin spaghettini or lazy man’s Lobster gnocchi, as well as an exciting new twist: the debut of Temaki, a Japanese charcuterie experience that is sure to be mouth watering.

Open Call is truly a feast for all the senses. Art exhibits will include an immersive video installation created inside a truck by New York collective Sweatshoppe, as well as an interactive telescope created by Toronto artists Jon Friis and Michael Lawrie. So where will we be partying ’til 4 am, throwing back artfully crafted cocktails, munching on new sushi offerings, and loving the spirit that TIFF brings to the city? See you on location, Drake, we’re coming over! (That delicious cocktail to your left? That’s the Hanging Garden. Save us one, won’t you?)
