An imperfect life guide for women

Dufferin Mall wants to help you give women fleeing abuse Something To Wear

For the entire month of May, Dufferin Mall is making it easy to help women fleeing abuse. Often, when these women take brave steps to escape a destructive situation, they are left with nothing. Places like Redwood Shelter offer a haven, but they can’t do it without our help. The shelters have used clothing on site, but having something new to wear can make a woman feel more confident as she breaks out of a terrible cycle and starts her life over. Emma Lewzey, Fundraising Manager of The Redwood Shelter, says “for many of our clients, having something new to wear will make such a difference to how they feel.” On your next shopping trip, pick up a little something extra, and drop it off at Guest Services, where they will also be accepting gently used clothing for The Diabetes Foundation.
