This spring, the Canadian Opera Company (COC) presents Operanation: Into the Stars, an incredible performance that blends opera with local indie bands. Headlining this year’s Operanation is electro pop duo Brave Shores in a genre-bending collaboration with rising young opera stars of the COC Ensemble Studio.

The COC is Canada’s largest producer of opera and we are mega fans (we even had COC soprano Lauren Eberwein sing at our ten-year anniversary party)! Now in its fourteenth year, Operanation is one of our absolute fave ways to spend a spring evening in Toronto–perfect for art enthusiasts and the opera-curious alike!

With the theme of “Into the Stars,” the Four Season Centre for Performing Arts will be transformed into an Ancient Roman celebration inspired by the upcoming world premiere of Rufus Wainwright’s Hadrian.

Operanation: Into the Stars takes place Thursday, May 17. Get tickets here.
