If you’re fed up with the mounting global problem of textile waste, now you can do something about it. Fashion Revolution: Clothing Swap (presented by Fashion Takes Action) is coming to St. Lawrence Hall (157 King St. E) on Saturday, April 28th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Re-home the items you no longer use and shop sustainably–all without putting a dent in your wallet.

It’s pretty straightforward:

  1. Find quality and stylish items in your closet that you’re ready to part with. Be sure to check they are in good condition (not stained or torn), washed (no pet hair or odours) and presentable. Max 20 items can be swapped; anything extra will be donated.
  2. Clothing drop-off in advance is preferred on either Tuesday, April 24th at 215 Spadina Ave. 4th floor or Thursday, April 26th at 720 Bathurst St. ground floor (both are Centre for Social Innovation locations). Drop-offs must be between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for both days. Please ask for Fashion Takes Action when you arrive! The advantage to those who drop off in advance is you will not have to wait in line at the door.
  3. Purchase your ticket in advance, which gets you quicker access to the clothes instead of waiting in line. Prices are $10 for the swap. No need to print your ticket as there will be a guest list with your name on it.
  4. Come to St. Lawrence Hall on Saturday, April 28th for a super fun day!
