Beginning Wednesday, January 23, and to complement the Mickalene Thomas: Femmes Noires exhibit at AGO, Black Girls: Women of African Descent Write Their World author Donna Bailey Nurse will host a series of talks exploring the cultural impact of Black women writers.

Esi Edugyan (Washington Black), M. NourbeSe Philip (Bl_k: Essays and Interviews) and Angie Thomas (The Hate You Give) will be in attendance to discuss everything from Black girlhood to race, timeliness, art, and the so-called multi-cultural nation.
