This Friday join us, and over 500 other fun spirited fashionable Toronto folk, at the second annual FROCKTAIL as over 120 designer dresses are auctioned off to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes. Following the best silent auction EVER, swig back some Svedka cocktails and hit the dance floor ‘cause DJ Johnny Hockin from MTV is cute and will have us all doing moves we may regret the next day. Weeee!

Thousands of brands aspire to develop and market the perfect ‘girls night out’ experience. Most often, they fail. THIS, however, is exactly what you dreamed of when you were a little girl dressing up your Barbies for a fancy night on the town and likewise the perfect occasion to gather your A-list friends and let loose. Bottom line – Frocktail is what you’ve been thinking about and waiting for with the added bonus of being a fundraiser. But of course, the dudes will enjoy too.

Get there early and walk the racks, you don’t want to miss out on this bidding war! Designer roll call: Calla (straight from Paris!), Lisa Badday, Greta Constantine – off the back of Coco Rocha no less- Ports 1961, David Dixon, Jeremy Laing, Joeffer Caoc, Mackage, Jenny Bird, LINE and MORE!

And cheers to the women who got undressed to raise money for a good cause: ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey, MuchMusic’s Sarah Taylor, Lainey Lui of LaineyGossip, photographer Caitlin Cronenberg and Society girls Ashleigh Dempster and Amanda Blakely….and I’m sure many of you. Brava.

Woot woot to local boutiques and companies who generously donated new dresses: Want Boutique, The Room at The Bay, FCUK and BCBG!

So, like, don’t even start with the, “I don’t know what to wear to the wedding!” routine. This party is the dream closet that you need to shop at!

Where exactly? 99 Sudbury, go to Queen and Dovercourt and head south a block and make a sharp turn right.

When: This FRIDAY! Auction is from 8-11PM and dancing till late. Only a few tickets are left – get on it!

Who is the mastermind behind this? It’s all about sisterly love. Vanessa Oliver has been dealing with Juvenile Diabetes for over 25 years and last year, her little sister Jessica – along with a group of close friends, decided to come together and throw an annual fundraiser that brought all their favourite things together. It’s brilliant – and you will have fun. To read more about the Oliver sisters and their lifetime struggle with JDRF, go here.

Now, grab a drink, sit back and check out the dressesyou’ll be missing out on if you don’t come join us!

Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door, numbers permitting.

Open bar will include Svedka Vodka cocktails, Strut wine and Labatt beer. Sumptuous hors d’oeuvres provided by Oliver and Bonacini.
