This year, Guelph’s Hillside Festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Taking place on Guelph Lake Island from July 26-28th, Hillside features more than just a great roster of musical acts. The festival has spoken word and drum and dance performances, an Aboriginal Dance Circle, artisan market, food bazaar, workshops and more. Yesterday’s line up announcement is just the beginning of all the good stuff to come!

Playing the 2013 fest are some amazing Canadian and international bands, like Yukon Blonde, Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, Whitehorse, The Weather Station, The Darcys, METZ, July Talk, Hayden, Fucked Up, Diamond Rings, Colin Stetson, Akron/Family, and more.

Tickets for the festival go on sale May 4th at 10 am. A weekend pass is $125, and day passes are $45 for Friday and $75 each for Saturday and Sunday. If the ticket prices are out of your reach, think about volunteering
