Visual artist Dwight Baird’s exhibition Viva Cuba will be on display until April 25 at Mile End art gallery Espace Main, in collaboration with la Semana de la Cultura Cubana. Born and raised in Huntingdon, a small town southwest of Montreal, Baird specialized in watercolours for over twenty years, and for the last eight years has worked mostly in acrylics. Now living and working in Montreal, he’s developed an exciting new style of contemporary realism – mixing the broad strokes of impressionism with specific detailed areas in his work. Viva Cuba is extensive series depicting a bygone era in Cuban daily life.

Exhibition until April 25th from 11am – 5pm (closed Monday & Tuesday).

Espace Main – 5364 St Laurent.
