In South Cabbagetown, on Gerrard St, sits a narrow Victorian. Inside lies the tranquil and small Jordano Skin Care – Day Spa. Now, we are all for hitting fancy spas in Yorkville or King West for a hot rock massage or steam, but if you want an expert to really help you with your delicate skincare issues, then you ought to give Rose a call. She’s been in the biz for over thirty years, has the most tender and warm touch and most importantly, Rose truly cares about helping clients solve their various skin issues.
Determined to solve her acne problems, Rose studied to become a skincare expert. Knowing firsthand how much bad skin can affect one’s self-confidence, she devoted her work and time to helping others. It’s the best damn facial I’ve had in years! And I get around.
Although acne is her expertise, she also helps those with ultra sensitive skin (holler!) or women who are simply looking to rejuvenate and get an instant glow. Facial treatments include Jordano Signature Facial (deep pore cleansing with specific attention paid to your personal skin needs), Acne Facial, Collagen Elastin Facial, Anti-Aging Facial and Mineral Mask. Beyond those, Rose swears by her Soli-Tone Photo-Energy System; a device that uses LED lights for skin rejuvenation.
Beyond the absolutely heavenly signature facial, I also tested the Soli-Tone. As someone who has grappled with insanely difficult skin for years (red, tight, dry, itchy, annoying all ’round) I can honestly tell you that there is a noticeable improvement. Further, Rose put me on to a French skincare line called GERnetic, specifically GLYCO cleansing milk, and it’s working well. (Trust me, I’ve tried it all! From Avene to La Mer. This stuff works.)
In conclusion, I love Rose. If you are seeking a day of pampering then hit a fancy spa. If you want help for your skin, ride that bike to South Cabbagetown.
You’ll love it.
