Between choosing what to do, where to go, who to go with, trying to flag down a fucking cab to get there AND finding someone to kiss at midnight, the amount of pressure there is to have like, THE BEST TIME EVER OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE on New Year’s Eve is a little overwhelming. And usually disappointing. And hella expensive ($40.00 club cover and $16.00 drinks anyone?). Personally, I prefer to stay in and sit on my couch in my pajamas, watching movies and drinking wine, but I’m an 80 year old lady trapped in a 29 year old’s body.

But anyway. For those of you who like to get down on the proverbial Eve and ring in the New Year like the normal, social, fun-loving people you are, local web-series Je Suis TV has helped you out with at least one of the stressful components that go into making the night totally perfect: figuring out what the fuck it is you’re going to wear.

Joelle and Bryanna, two of the girls behind the Toronto fashion and culture-themed videos, have been so kind as to do the party dress shopping legwork for you. Video camera in hand, they went around to a few of our favourite local boutiques and tried on a bunch of fun frocks in search of the perfect New Year’s Eve outfit. Hitting Carte Blanche, Jacflash and Fitzroy Boutique’s pop-up shop at BYOB Bar and Cocktail Emporium, they covered all of your dress, shoes and accessory needs. Check the video to see the results, choose your favourite, head down to whichever store houses it and 4, 3, 2, 1, Happy New Year.

Now you just have to decide where you’re going.
