How do we discuss art after a show? What actions can a piece of art inspire? How does art activism affect change? These are just some of the themes that will be explored at the FREE panel discussion happening at Toronto Media Arts Centre this Saturday.

Sean Lee from Tangled Art + Disability will host a discussion that specifically looks at works by Claro Cosco, Paula John and claude wittmann, that are included in the Being Scene exhibit. Each of these artists has created deeply personal actions that layer resistance, acceptance and activism through performative time-based gestures that situate the body within (while pushing against) the political, financial, gendered and disability contexts they are engaged with in their work and lives.

Grab a coffee, saunter down Queen West, and dip inside for an afternoon of provocative art and stimulating discourse.

Saturday, March 22, 3-4 p.m. at Toronto Media Arts Centre (32 Lisgar Street). FREE!
