Analogue film photographers rejoice – Canada has its first Lomography Gallery Store! The store opened to the public last night (536 Queen St. W.) with photography-themed DJ sets and a Canadiana feast of poutine but for those who didn’t make it out, they’ll be offering workshops on both Saturday and Sunday to celebrate. Nothing beats arts and crafts weekends!

Saturday: The Diana Dialogues, 1-3 pm
Get educated on the camera that started it all. Learn how the Diana has affected trends and become a classic artistic tool for photographers and all the fancy tricks and techniques it uses, like multiple-exposures, pinhole, and continuous panoramas. Then borrow a loaner camera and partake in a LomoJourney around Queen West!

$10 ($7 for students) includes a loaner camera and one free roll of film. All participants will receive a 10% coupon for the Lomography Gallery Store.

Sunday: Analogue Love, 12-3 pm
This workshop will ensure that by the end, you will become film-monsters armed with Lomography knowledge. The ultimate analogue workshop will provide you with tips, tricks, techniques and experiments into analogue photography plus warm drinks and cookies! You’re also welcome to bring your photos, flea market camera finds, favourite techniques and accidental masterpieces to share. Afterwards, go shooting with the camera of your choice and finish up by swapping film (and maybe even phone numbers) with fellow analogue lovers.

This workshop is FREE! All participants will get a loaner camera and free roll of film.
