Being a new mom is an incredible experience, but it’s also a shock to the system. Long days, sleepless nights, mood swings and feeling overwhelmed are all par for the course. If you’re feeling alone, it’s a good idea to strap on that babe, leave the house and remind yourself that there are other women going through the same thing right now.

Toronto Public Library offers a great FREE parenting program, Making The Connections, that you’re welcome to attend WITH your baby (from birth to 12 months). You’ll learn about parenting styles, making your baby feel loved, helping your child feel good about him/herself, saying ‘no’ with love, promoting language learning and community resources. You’ll learn valuable skills and get to meet others who are at the same place in life.

This runs each week on Wednesday mornings at TPL’s Riverdale Branch (370 Broadview Ave) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Find out more and register here.
