9:45pm. ‘Sorry, Rabbi’ Screening @ Cinémathèque québécoise, 335 de Maisonneuve East. As part of the 30th edition of Les Rendez-vous du cinéma québécoise (which runs from February 15 to 26, 2012 – programming here), Mark Slutsky’s ‘Sorry, Rabbi’, starring Jacob Tierney and Jessica Paré, screens at the Cinémathèque québécoise. FRIDAY FEBRUARY 24

9pm. Each Other + Monomyth + Baked Goods Release Show @ Brasserie Beaubien, 73 Beaubien East. Angular-pop group Each Other, Halifax’s Monomyth and Baked Goods – releasing their new 7” – take over Brasserie Beaubien for an evening of tunes, pool and cheap beer. Suggested donation of $5. Until 1:30am.

10pm. Blockhead w/ Construct + Henward @ Le Belmont, 4483 St-Laurent. Le Belmont features New York’s own Blockhead, accompanied by Construct, DJ Brace, Henward and VNDL. Tickets $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 25

2pm. Nuit Blanche à Montréal 2012 @ The Canadian Centre for Architecture, 1920 Baile. The CCA celebrates Montreal’s ninth edition of Nuit Blanche with live performances by Montreal bands UN and Goose Hut, a ‘drink and draw’ and special daytime bus tours of Montreal buildings. Body paint and DJs will also be on hand to keep you going into the wee hours! Free admission.

10pm. Nuit Blanche w/ Hatchmatik + Bowly @ above Underworld Skateshop, 1403 St-Elizabeth. One of several dozen all-night dance parties takes place just above Underworld, featuring Hatchmatik, Bowly, Alee Backpacker Music and Nicky Raisinz. $4 Tremblay beers, $5 mixed drinks/other beers. Free admission before 11pm, $5 afterwards.

10pm. Sleepless in Santropol @ Café Santropol, 3990 St-Urbain. Plateau institution Café Santropol presents a Nuit Blanche evening with graphic artists, video artists, puppeteers and theatrics. Local DJs Shave, Benson and Pierce will keep the night going strong.

12am. Art Matters Nuit Blanche @ Blue Cat Boxing Club, 435 Beaubien West. Art Matters, a student-run festival that celebrates Concordia’s multidisciplinary artistic community, presents INOURTIME, a special Nuit Blanche evening that combines boxing, contemporary dance, theatre, sound installations and more!
