WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 2

8:30pm. Le Comedy Bistro: Dirty Edition @ Bistro Parc des Princes, 5923 Parc. The first Wednesday of every month brings us comedienne Jessica Salomon’s Comedy Bistro evening. This month’s dirty edition will feature Massimo, who is (according to Salomon) ‘really sexy when you’re drunk.’ Perfect. $7.

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 3

6:30pm. Fashion Blogging Workshop @ Citizen Vintage, 5330 St-Laurent. Hosted by the Montreal Artist’s Legal Clinic (CJAM), lawyer and intellectual property specialist Frederick Pinto will host a workshop dedicated to the particular legalities of the blogging world, with special emphasis on fashion blogging. Until 8:30pm. Free.

7pm. Le virus d’improvisation pictorale (VIP) @ Belmont, 4483 St-Laurent. The Belmont hosts a unique ensemble of professional artists and painters from Montreal, who come together the first Thursday of each month for an evening of ‘painting improv’. Held to the beat of house-band Elektropaint. $10. Until 11pm.

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 4 & SATURDAY NOVEMBER 5

10am. Loyola Craft Fair @ Loyola Chapel, 7141 Sherbrooke West. Yep, it’s November (that random, lesser-known month before Christmas). Craft fair season is kicking off with a lovely church sale at Loyola Chapel all weekend! Baking, sewing, beading, word-working – all of these crafts and more will be represented. Get a head start on (yikes) Christmas shopping. Until 6pm each day. Free entry.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 5

10pm. The Classics feat. James Krown @ The Blue Dog Motel, 3958 St-Laurent. Every Saturday, DJ James Krown spins 80s, 90s and high-school favourites – with a super sweet drink special: $7 for a tall can of PBR and a shot of whiskey. Hello. No cover.

10pm. T-E-E-D @ Société des arts technologiques, 1201 St-Laurent. NEON+HIGHFOOD present British dance-pop producer T-E-E-D (or, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs) at the SAT for a night of dancing and (with luck) debauchery. $12. Buy your tickets here.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 6

8pm. Montreal Comedy Competition @ ComedyWorks, 1238 Bishop. The fifth annual Montreal Comedy Competition gears up for another round of top-notch performances by eight talented Montreal-based comics. Check out their site for the final list of participants! $13.
