Griffintown hair salon/art gallery La Switch hosts a catered evening this Saturday featuring new local businesses and bands. The wine and snacks portion of the evening gets going at 6:30pm, while Myra Flynn provides ambient tunes. At 10pm, the party shifts into electronic mode, featuring performances from Commodore 84, Alex One and Da Pink Noise. $3 drinks, $2 jello shots.

We Want Miles @ Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
The MMFA’s new exhibit combines combine image and sound to offer visitors a sensory experience inspired by jazz musician Miles Davis, who said that “a painting is music you can see, and music is a painting you can hear.” Featuring photos by Annie Leibovitz, paintings by Jean-Michel Basquiat and drawings by Miles Davis himself. Show runs until August 29th.
