Embroidered patch denim has been all over the spring 2017 runways, from Marc Jacobs and Gucci to Alexander McQueen. But why shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars on the trend when you can DIY your own piece for a fraction of the price?

This Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Artscape Youngplace’s Sketch Studio (180 Shaw St., lower level), Sheri Pavlovic from Confessions of A Refashionista will teach you how to DIY your own embroidered patch denim piece and talk to you about the benefits of thrifting and upcycling your wardrobe. BYOD (Bring Your Own Denim) or snag one of the denim jackets or jeans available at the workshop to create your one-of-a-kind piece.

Tickets are $65 (plus applicable fees) for BYOD or $75 without, and all the materials you’ll need are included. Happy DIY-ing!
