Power Ball XIX: Stereovision, presented by Max Mara, continued its legacy last week as the city’s most over-the-top art affair, where the well-heeled clink their glasses with the creative class and everyone gussies up for a booze-filled sensory overload.
Yes, documenting Power Ball – the style, the antics, the underlying currents of lust and envy – is always a pleasure. As Canadians, we’re known to be incredibly modest and conservative, but the scene at Power Ball (which took place at Toronto’s Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery) always ruptures this stereotype quite nicely.
