Renée Elliott of blog loveliness eatliveshop and, now, Re:creative Works, is a crafty lady indeed.  She’s turned the garage (behind 1342 Queen St. W.) at Shop Girls, a particularly notable Parkdale fashion hot spot, into a den of craft wizardry fit for the sparkliest of DIY dolls.

Just the right amount of space for two tables hand-assembled by Renée herself, a side table made, from a door, by Mom and Dad, and an armoire that hints that Craft Narnia may be just behind its doors. The former garage also boasts an adorable loft space that we all have high hopes for (I’m gunning for her fill it to the brim with lavender and let all wandering Parkdalmations follow their noses to craft heaven).

DIY workshop activities for craft cherubim include:

– Wrap bracelets
– Custom stationary
– Feather headbands
– Chain bracelets
– Ruffle headband

The classes run for children and adults, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the late afternoon and early evening.  Renée also offers private parties – access to a great venue and an instructed craft workshop.

And what a treat of an opening! Cookies by Cupcakes Under Cover and cupcakes from Yummy Stuff that put me on buttercream cloud nine, florals by goddess of green Coriander Girl and cream puffs by Nona!!  Renée’s nona, that is, even if I did pretend that she was mine for a little bit…
