This Sunday, join local Drag Queen Allysin Chaynes, along with Dottie, Kit, Mae, and Doris at The Royal Cinema for a boozy screening of A League Of Their Own.

Starring Geena Davis, Madonna and Rosie O’Donnell, this 1992 gum-smacking, third-base flying b-ball box office hit will go down as one of our all-time favourite summertime movies.

When America’s stock of athletic young men is depleted during World War II, a professional all-female baseball league springs up in the Midwest, funded by publicity-hungry candy maker Walter Harvey (Garry Marshall). Competitive sisters Dottie Hinson (Geena Davis) and Kit Keller (Lori Petty) spar with each other, scout Ernie Capadino (Jon Lovitz) and grumpy has-been coach Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks) on their way to fame. Madonna and Rosie O’Donnell co-star as two of the sisters’ teammates.

FULL movie, live and potentially very drunk commentary, special guests, performances, drinking games and plenty of surprises. This is a licensed event happening July 24, 8pm at The Royal Cinema (608 College Street). $10 in advance/$12 at the door. Buy now!
