This winter, Young People’s Theatre brings the beloved Frances Hodgson Burnett classic to life with their presentation of The Secret Garden.

In it, young Mary Lennox has just emigrated from India to live with her distant uncle. She soon finds herself at odds with the inhabitants of her uncle’s large manor who are put off by her harsh and demanding demeanour. Left to wander the gloomy old house, Mary discovers a mysterious neglected garden. While taking refuge there, she learns that finding the true nature of someone or something requires nurturing, perseverance, courage and, most importantly, the intervention of others.

This play is suitable for kids aged 6 & up. Running February 10th-March 17th at the YPT Mainstage – Susan Rubes Theatre (165 Front Street East). Get tickets here
