Strands is playing this weekend at Wavelength Music Festival. We can’t get enough of this duo.

Photographer Kate Killet hit up the five-year anniversary bash last Friday and got plenty of inspiration from the little rockers.

Think of it as a music festival on wheels, powered completely by cyclists (that goes for the sound system too).

With live music feat. Coral King (members of Hush Pup) and Girls Rock Camp, a silent auction, and snacks by Fat Pasha.

Girls Rock Camp is a non-profit organization that builds self-esteem through music creation.

I wish that Girls Rock Camp was around when I was a kid. How sweet would that have been? One-on-one music lessons with inspiring female role models, teaching me that rocking out is all about attitude, not gender.
