Here’s an idea: instead of a date night at a trendy restaurant this month, buy a ticket to Taste Matters and enjoy food and and drink from the city’s top chefs while also helping to raise money for Eva’s Initiatives.

I first heard about Eva’s Place when I was a high school student. I’m grateful that I never had to use a youth shelter, but sadly, so many young people depend on it.

Since they opened their doors in 1994, Eva’s Place has helped over 19,000 youth. Not only does Eva’s place provide a safe space for homeless and at-risk youth, it also offers a wide variety of programs that help youth with everything from finding a job, to essential life skills.

If you can afford the $100 ticket, Taste Matters will most certainly be a memorable night.

Here are just some of the food and drink companies that will be dishing out their goods:
  • North 44
  • The Art of Catering
  • Paintbox Catering & Bistro
  • Sultans of Samosas
  • Zelcovia Cookies
  • Eva’s Youth Desserts Buffet
  • Cheese Excursions
  • The Chef Upstairs
  • Spearhead Brewing Company
  • Lake of Bays Brewing Company
  • Side Launch Brewery
  • Amsterdam Brewery
  • 40 Creek Distillery
  • Great Lakes Brewery

Make a date with your boyfriend/girlfriend, or invite Mom or Dad for a special evening. Taste Matters is a wonderful way to give back to the community and help youth who rely on the essential services that Eva’s Initiatives offers
