TIFF Block Party celebrates the Bell Lightbox with music, films, & a moviestar lookalike contest hosted by drag queen Donnarama

There ain’t no party like the TIFF Block Party! So throw your hands up in the air and head on down to King Street West on Sunday September the 12th where the entire block between John and Peter will be closed off for the launch of the much anticipated TIFF Bell Lightbox. Something that is going to change the landscape of TIFF forever, the Bell Lightbox is celebrating with a myriad of events, including a Polaris Music Prize showcase featuring three shortlisted bands (The Sadies, Karkwa, Radio Radio), and screenings of films from the classic to the avant garde.

The party starts at 11 am and features a fantastic line-up of dance, comedy and musical acts, including a top-secret musical guest who will be announced the day before. And now we’re really waving ’em around like we just don’t care – because in addition to free cupcakes (FREE CUPCAKES!) there will be a Movie Star look-a-like contest at 1pm hosted by drag queen extraordinaire and top Barbra Streisand impersonator, Donnarama. Having won numerous awards and titles, Donnarama is no stranger to impeccable presentation and exquisite costumes which she designs and sews herself. So now’s the time to start figuring out how to WOW her along with the audience for your chance to take home an exclusive Tim Burton Exhibition ticket package!
