Guys, there’s something pretty special brewin’ at McCafé, and it includes FREE coffee. Get into it.

From November 20th to the 26th (promo end dates vary by province), the McCafé Free Coffee Gram program is sweeping across Canada, and allows users to send FREE coffees to their pals, or schedule coffee dates. How sweet is that?

We couldn’t be more excited; we LOVE McCafé coffee. The medium dark roast delivers the perfect caffeinated jolt in the morning, while the smoothness keeps it rich and flavourful even as it cools (we’re slow sippers).

Here’s how it works (it’s as e-a-s-y, we promise):

  1. Figure out who you would like to treat to a coffee. It can be your bestie, your mom or even Justin Trudeau (give it a shot, WHY NOT?)
  2. Get your butt over to the McCafé Coffee Gram site where you’ll be able to create a custom coffee gram. You will have two choices – you can either schedule a FREE coffee date with your recipient in a desired McCafé location, or you can just send a FREE coffee.
  3. Once deets are finalized, your McCafé Free Coffee Gram can be shared via Twitter, Facebook or email. The gifs are SO CUTE!

Mind spinning from all the coffee date possibilities? Not to worry, we got your back! For a lil inspiration, we asked some of our writers who they would take out on a coffee date or send a McCafé Free Coffee Gram to. Here’s what they came up with:

“If I could send anyone a coffee, it would be my youngest son’s caregiver. Debbie works out of her home and I see her everyday, but we never have a chance to sit down and talk. She is always so busy with the little souls in her care. She has three children of her own and on weekends she is training to be a teacher. She plays such an important role in my family, I trust her with one of the most precious people in my life. Her dedication and love help me in immeasurable ways. I am not sure if she has much time to get a coffee for herself and relax, but if I would love to send her a little moment to herself: to sit down, sip a yummy coffee, take a deep breath and know how special she is to us.”

“I decided to take this exciting opportunity and turn my answer into a personal ad. Look, I’m in the process of growing my winter coat and queuing up my Netflix for months of hibernation, so this may be my last shot. With that being said, here goes nothing! Me: blonde, pale, short (but will constantly insist I am average height), and a proud pup owner. You: tall. Let’s get a coffee together. You can talk about sports while I show you pictures of my dog…and if you end up being a cat person, well…we will always have coffee.”

“I would ask Oprah for a coffee date. Oprah is like my Great Gazoo. In any given situation, I always ask, “What Would Oprah Do?” and I am immediately guided to the right answer. Oprah is a warm beacon of light that is unlike any other yet she seems so down to earth. I would love to meet her IRL and just chat about everything and anything with her, from dogs to God. I hear she’s a big tea person, but I think I could manage to convince her to switch up her caffeine style just this once — especially if it’s from McDonald’s. I mean, she did work there once.”

“I’d go on a coffee date with…myself. That is, myself at 18 years old. Oh, young Jackie. She’s about to head off to university. She’s buggin’ out (but it’s only obvious to me) and has loads of questions about life, love, values and money. Over McCafé coffee — which is, without question, the best coffee on the market — I’d impart the “sage” wisdom I’ve collected over the years and let her know that everything will work itself out (and that coffee is going to be her elixir of life for the next four years).”

I would send a coffee to my mom! She is one of those people that needs a cup or two before easing into the day, loving her cute little quiet time in the morning. My mom is not as fortunate as I am to have free-flowing coffee available at the office, which is a travesty. Instead, she diligently packs a coffee thermos with her lunch every morning. Not to mention, this lovely woman has the weight of a satisfying full time job, an upcoming cross-city house move and a big family tree complete with us three fledgling adult children. If anyone would appreciate and deserve a FREE coffee coffee, it’s Momma Linda.

“I would love to ask astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson on a coffee date and spend an afternoon picking his brain about the universe. Do aliens exist? How soon will we see a human on mars? What’s the meaning of life? I have so many questions!”

“If I could send a free McCafe Free Coffee Gram to anyone, it would be my parents. They both work so hard and between all of our schedules and geographical locations, it’s not always easy to make quality time for each other. It would be great to have a coffee date with each of them, and they deserve to be treated, putting up with me all these years.”

“My perfect coffee date would be with Britney (Spears) and I locking eyes over a casual cup of joe. After celebrating my 30th birthday the only way I know how, (by pretending to be 16 again, going to Vegas and experiencing Britney up-close in concert), I rediscovered her magic and sweet moves! A coffee date is casual, yet intimate. We would chat about the inspiration for her hidden early album gems, such as “Dear Diary” and “E-mail My Heart”, I would listen intently as she shared stories of her failed relationships while remaining neutral (that Kevin was never any good), and laugh with her as she told me funny stories, like the time she shaved her head for no good reason. After showing interest in watching multiple video clips of her sons skateboarding, she would, without a doubt, be convinced that I would be the best baby mama!  Coffee date success.”
