Danny Elfman’s unmistakable scores linger long after the credits roll. His low, stomping strings – with the occasional touch of a women’s choir – lend a very scary feel to his soundtracks, especially Beetlejuice, Alice in Wonderland, Corpse Bride, and Batman. Thanks to Elfman, you know you’re watching a Tim Burton movie as soon as the music starts up.

This fall, his music will come to life once again as the TSO performs selections of Danny Elfman’s celebrated film scores, enhanced by the stunning visuals of Tim Burton – original sketches, drawings, storyboards, and film clips rendered in exquisite detail on the big screen. Films include Batman, Edward Scissorhands, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

This spooky selection runs just in time for Halloween – October 29 & 30th at Roy Thomson Hall (60 Simcoe). Get your tickets here.
