An imperfect life guide for women

TVO's Doc Studio Contest is looking for the next big Canadian documentarian—so what are you waiting for?

Aspiring documentary filmmakers, this one’s for you! TVO is launching a Doc Studio Contest, encouraging Ontarians to create a five-minute interview-based documentary, inspired by the work of filmmaker-in-residence Alan Zweig.

The doc should capture a moment of change, articulate a shift in perception, or reveal a secret, all in five minutes. The winning filmmaker will have their piece aired on TVO in the spring, score an industry pass to Hot Docs and receive a mentoring session with Zweig. This is a seriously cool opportunity-and could be the jump start you’re looking for to take your career to the next level.

Want to enter? You can submit your video via Youtube or mail, with a completed entry form, a brief description of your piece, and a short biography as well as all your contact info including your age. The deadline to enter is Feb 27th, 2012. Check out their site for all the info and a message from Zweig. What are you waiting for???
