Celebrate the launch of Anthropologie’s Yorkville outpost with a new chapeau

By Haley Cullingham

Have you been to Anthropologie yet? If not, you’re the only one who hasn’t. The store kicked off in the swankified Shops at Don Mills at the beginning of the summer, and yummy mummies and their fashionable daughters were quick to make the trek past Bloor to check out the store’s legendary offerings-fabulous clothes and accessories that suggest a kind of je-ne-sais-quoi globetrotter chic. With the opening of the Yorkville location (80 Yorkville Ave.) this past Friday, downtown dwellers can get their fix closer to home. It was the search for the perfect chapeau that led us to this style outpost. Truly one of the trickiest items to pull off, a hat has to be perfect-or it’s a disaster. Luckily, Anthropologie has more than few hat-hair worthy offerings.

For walking the dog, with a latte in one hand and The New York Times in the other: Brown Circuitous hat with stitching detail, $48.16

For sipping mimosas at Sunday brunch: Straw Breezy Days fedora with pink ribbon detail, $43.58

For drinking a bottle of wine at the park: White cotton Gusty Bucket hat, $36.70

For causing heads to turn in their Muskoka chairs: Coral and cream Broken Rays sun hat, $55.04

Check out Anthropologie’s website for more offerings. We bet you won’t get three clicks before you’re out the door and on your way to the store.
