If your only notion of Japan includes a Red Dragon Roll and a can of Sapporo, you’re seriously missing out. With the theme of “Wai-wai”(sound of excitement), Kimono Discovery in Toronto is aiming to you with the wonders of kimono outside of Japan.

Head to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC) Kobayashi Hall (6 Garamond Court) on Saturday September 10th for your chance to enjoy world-renowned group 寳船TAKARABUNE perform a dance that dates back 400 years – Awa-odori. You’ll even have a chance to slip on a real kimono and get a traditional hairstyle, practice your tea ceremony, calligraphy and flower arranging, and sample the best Japanese traditional food and sake. There will be a cosplay and Kimono fashion show, live performances and more!
