This Sunday, September 25th, Worn Fashion Journal is hosting a panel discussion called Diversity & Fashion Magazines.

Echoing Worn’s commitment to diversity, editors Serah-Marie McMahon and Gwen Stegelmann will be joined by a panel of ladies-in-the-know, and explore the responsibility of fashion magazines to encourage a diverse representation of gender identification, size, race, subculture, age and sexuality. Panelists are Anita Clarke, founder and editor-in-chief of iwantigot, Elizabeth St. Philip, an award-winning journalist and documentarian, and Iris Simpson, a tour-de-force fashion buyer who has worked for Holts and Yves St Laurent and currently teaches at Ryerson.

The panel will start at 5:15 at the Word on the Street Festival at Queen’s Park, in the Canadian Magazines Tent.
