Take a break from the hot city streets and step inside the beautiful Toronto Reference Library for an intimate evening of readings from some of our province’s most celebrated literary talent.

On June 16th, book lovers of all ages are welcome to attend the Trillium Book Awards Author Readings and Reception. This is a free event and one that will surely be gripping, inspirational, and will get you excited about a summer full of reading. (Maybe writing, too.)

Whether you’re camped out in Trinity Bellwoods or lying on your cottage dock, there is no better way to spend a lazy summer afternoon than getting lost in a rich story, be it a memoir, novel, short story or beautiful poem. To help you out, we’ve created this delicious summer reading list that includes eight of the Trillium Book Award nominees.

Ontario summers are meant to be enjoyed, so while you’re feasting on the seasonal goods that sprout from the land during this fruitful season, we suggest you also devour some home-grown lit.

Join us at Bram & Bluma Appel Salon (Toronto Reference Library) on June 16th for a night of readings from the nominated works. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the readings begin at 7:00 p.m.
