Of all the feelings conjured by the holidays, perhaps the most wonderful is gratitude. On December 5th, celebrate the desire to give thanks to those who have inspired, influenced, and supported you at the annual Gratitude Tea.

In 2006, students at Centennial College organized the first annual Gratitude Tea, giving people the opportunity to pass on thanks to someone at a high tea ceremony. Melissa Feeney brought her mother, Carol. Sadly, in 2009, Carol passed away unexpectedly. Her daughters Melissa and Jen wanted to continue their mother’s legacy of strength and self-sufficiency, and now the Gratitude Tea is held every year in Carol’s honour, to raise money for The Daily Bread Food Bank and continue to celebrate inspiring figures.

This year, the tea will be held at the Rosewater Supper Club (19 Toronto St.) on Sunday, December 5th. It is a wonderful way to honour and appreciate someone you love this holiday season, and spend some quality time together during this busiest of months. You are invited to prepare a short story about your inspiring guest. Tickets are $40 per person, and you can buy them online until December 3rd.
