Three Monkeys, one of our favourite Montreal boutiques, is hosting an art show starting Friday June 1st. East vs. West is an in-store art exhibit showcasing new work from contemporary artists who are all from either Canada’s East or West Coasts (hence the show’s title). The show is presented in collaboration with Vancouver’s Ayden Gallery and awesome Canadian clothing brand Lifetime Collective.

The work of Montreal and Vancouver artists will be on display, with pieces from from 123KLAN, Kevin Ledo, Evan Melnyk, Donald Caron, Fronc Ng and Yohan Trudel (all hailing from the East Coast), as well as Ben Tour, Peter Taylor, Andrew Young, Kristian Adam and Caroline Weaver, all repping the West Coast. The vernissage will feature interactive art installations to keep you involved in the show, and the show will feature works never before displayed. Show runs until July 1st.

The vernissage will be taking place at Three Monkeys (@ Les Cours Mont Royal, 1455 Peel) on Friday June 1st, from 6pm to 10pm. There will be plenty of beer courtesy of Molson (free beer woot!) and lots of gifts and goodies to be had, so you’ll want to arrive early!
