This Thursday, grab your film fanatic friend and head to Scotiabank Theatre for enRoute Film Festival’s FREE screening! Each year, Air Canada (which actually has amazing on-flight programming) selects compelling short films from a group of talented emerging filmmakers, who then vie for prestigious awards as decided by

Canada’s most notable film industry peeps. It’s a huge honour to be included and the films will be available to view for all Air Canada passengers….and YOU this Thursday!

This year, big name judges include director Atom Egoyan (Chloe), producer Don Carmody (Chicago), actors Molly Parker (The Road) and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage) and director Jean-Marc Vallée (Young Victoria). Like we said, BIG NAMES. All 21 selected shorts will compete to win the prize for Best Short Film, Achievement in Direction, Achievement in Cinematography, and Achievement in Animation. The grand prize winner will also receive $5,000 courtesy of presenting sponsor Cineplex. Hot damn!

To find out which lucky filmmakers made the cut, visit www.enRoutefilm.com and join us with a bag of buttery popcorn for a night of free films! For budding filmmakers, this is a terrific way to get inspired. For film lovers, it’s a perfect date night! Watch films, grab food and talk-talk-talk about what you loved and hated.
