6pm Neal Rockwell @ W WTWO, 170 Jean Talon Ouest, # 206. For the past 5 years, Montreal-based artist Neal Rockwell has produced a body of writing, film, and photographic work. Rockwell’s newest video, SOLAR MASS, presents documentation of a recent journey back to his native West Coast. The exhibition at W WTWO will include a small retrospective of Rockwell’s journalistic and photographic work, presented outside the screening area.

10pm Eat to the Beat: Jeudis avec Cadence Weapon @ Nouveau Palais, 281 Bernard O. Eat to the Beat, a new Thursday DJ night featuring resident Cadence Weapon, serves up platters of funk R&B, soul, rap and futuristic club as you wolf down platters of Nouveau Palais delicious midnight menu. In honour of their patron saint Snoop Dogg, they’ll have $5 gin and juice to go with their bangin’ eats.
