Ready to be wowed? Batsheva‘s House Choreographer Ohad Naharin is widely considered to be one of the great dance pioneers of his generation, and you have one night to catch the eighteen Batsheva dancers on stage in Toronto for a bold performance of their new evening-length show, Venezuela

Arresting, powerful, political: Ohad Naharin is known for his adventurous vision and distinctive choreographic voice. Broken into two forty-minute sections that are placed in juxtaposition of one another, his much-anticipated Venezuela performed by Batsheva Dance Company explores the dialogue and conflict between movement and the content it represents. In this multi-faceted and compelling work, the endless possibilities of a choreographer’s craft are at play, and in turn, Venezuela compels the audience to challenge their own freedom of choice.

Most professional dancers are already aware that Ohad Naharin is the choreographer behind Gaga, not Lady Gaga, but rather the dance movement he created that has been adopted worldwide with the intentions to stretch the imagination and promote healing. Do not miss this opportunity to be mesmerized by riveting modern dance that is at once raw and virtuosic! There is no other show in the world that can compare with the depth and consistency for which Batsheva is admired.
