Trying to keep a manicure looking good after a few days causes me much angst. I love having colourful painted nails, (red makes me feel like a sassy vixen, and black makes me feel like a punk rock goddess), but the minute I get one chip, the whole thing has to come off – at which point I just end up biting them all down to stubs of shame. I have thus concluded that feeble, freshly painted nails just don’t go well with my daily routine (I have dishes to wash! Things to type! Corn to husk!)

That said, I probably don’t take care of my digits the way I should. Manicures are expensive, and when I do it myself, it looks like I put it on with a paint roller. When I stumbled upon Sally Hansen’s new Green Tea Nail Treatments, I was intrigued. I tried out the Green Tea and Olive Growth Treatment, for short brittle nails. 7 days to long healthy nails of steel? Count me in! The polish is infused with bamboo, olive leaf, and other antioxidants to protect, hydrate and enhance growth, so it’s a more natural alternative to a lot of the scary treatments out there. It’s a clear polish treatment that you have to put on every day for 7 days, and by the 7th day, your nails will be longer, stronger, and pretty much feel like a million bucks. I thought that continuously retouching a polish for 7 days straight would be dreadful, but it’s actually a super quick drying, non chippy polish that is worth setting aside the few minutes each day for an application. If your nails are a nightmare, do yourself a favour and check out this super inexpensive miracle polish, in drug stores this month.
