As I’m sure most of you are already aware, the tragedy of several young gay teens committing suicide recently is inspiring others to action, and there’s some positive stuff in the air to do with gay rights across North America (well, who are we kidding, mostly in the USA). Sex-column idol Dan Savage, started the It Get’s Better Project, and daytime sweetheart Ellen DeGeneres is no stranger to speaking out on the issue.

And it’s just getting started, and getting better, with this anti-proposition 8 FCKH8 pink statement vid charging its way across the Internet and coming soon to a computer screen near you. WARNING: VIDEO IS NSFW. If you purchase any of the T-Shirts seen in the video, $5 will go to groups like the American Foundation For Equal Rights. Money shot: when the women at the end says “I’m getting my Facebook all up in this thing’s Twitter.” I think social-media double entendres just became the next big thing. The man behind the campaign is Luke Montgomery, charity media guru who hopes to one day get married, and is the cutie with the trimmed beard in the FCKH8 video. He’s also the activist who changed his name to “Luke Sissyfag” when he was a teen. Now that takes some California-sized balls!

In completely mindless entertainment news, the original Guitar Hero Slash played the National Anthem to adoring hockey fans the other day, and it rocked. Show this to that special dude in your life for some extra cool-points.

2010’s favorite internet sensation Antoine Dodson is here, queer and I’m not only getting used to it, I’m loving it! It all started with his rant on a real newscast in Alabama after an intruder broke into their house, followed by the Auto-tune mashup which to date has over 30 million hits. OK so now for the real news: Somewhere along the way Antoine got invited to perform at the recent BET awards and it’s truly a magical moment. Nice highlights Antoine! Queen Latifah did a kick-ass job hosting them as well.

The video TMZ paired with the article is, of course, just him talking on his phone, posing for pictures and signing autographs, but apparently rapper T.I. possesses high quality psychiatric ablilities and talked a suicidal man down from atop a building recently in Atlanta. Now if only he could talk himself out of committing crimes before he commits them…The man came down because he was allowed to have a few minutes of face time with T.I, the newscast leads us to believe. Imagine if you could meet whoever you wanted if you just pretended you were going to kill yourself first. Hello, Barack Obama…
