7 pm Red Bull Crashed Ice Toronto Qualifier @ Mastercard Centre for Hockey Excellence, 400 Kipling Ave., Etobicoke. Toronto’s extreme athletes take to the ice to vie for a coveted spot at the 2012 Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship in Quebec City! 200 men and 20 women compete in individual speed trials, with the top skaters moving on to participate in the main event.

6 pm “Transmission Lines” Opening Reception @ Cooper Cole Gallery, 1161 Dundas St. W. An exhibition from American artists Ryan Wallace and Chris Duncan, whose “linear variations of shape explore the margins of time and space while echoing the unstable tension between vision, perception, and reflection. Both artists explore a variety of materials to great visual effect.” Until 10 pm. Show runs until February 26th.  

10 pm Bangs & Blush Present: Beatlemania! @ The Piston, 937 Bloor St. W. Your favourite Beatles party (with a whole lot of tasty 60’s rock n’ roll, garage, and soul tunes in-between) launches at The Piston!
