Are you as excited as we are at the thought of a Toronto drag country musical? Yep. We thought so. Toronto talent Robin Sharp brings his latest play Daughter of the Dust to Kensington Market’s Bread and Circus theatre for a 4 show run from August 25th – 28th.

Daughter of the Dust’s lead, Trixie Dixon, is played by Robin himself. He will be dragging it up onstage as a young country singer in a small town about to get her big break (as long as her mother doesn’t mess it up for her.) After her mother takes her top off during a performance at a children’s birthday party, Trixie quits their mother-daughter duo and decides to go solo. Sounds dry, outrageous, hilarious and heartwarming, everything you would want from a local drag country musical.
