The Toronto Burlesque Festival touches down this weekend (July 20-23), and if you’ve only admired this tantalizing art form from afar, now’s your chance to brush up on your skills and take to the stage yourself!
Suit and Tie Tease
Join the King of Boylesque, Harden Reddy, and come learn some suit and tie choreography that everyone can use later for more act crafting. No prior dance experience necessary. Open to all levels and genders. Bring a jacket, a tie, and a hat if possible as well as a bottle of water.
Stop, Drop and Roll!
2017 Burlesque Hall of Fame competitor RedBone, will teach you the basics of the sexy transition to the floor, which is something every burlesque performer needs!
“Not Just Sitting Pretty”
In this beginner class for acro chair, Kerri N’ Fuego will show you how to use the chair for more than sitting. We will learn to do basic, upright balances, flow work, and illusionistic flexibility moves which genuinely look fabulous on everyone. No physical requirements needed.
All classes take place in the Dance Annex on Saturday July 22nd. Register for one or all of them here.
