Controversial red cups are taking over the world and every shop window display has a celebratory vibe, so it’s safe to say that the holiday-themed floodgates are open. It is official, and you should get prepared; it’s time to get festive.

With a few girlfriends coming over before a Saturday night out, the scene was set: I was recently gifted a couple bottles of Yellow Tail Red Moscato Bubbles and Pink Bubbles, so I wanted to do a little something extra with them to bring a sense of occasion to the familiar gathering. Unbridled conversation, here we come!

The cocktail recipe selection process stemmed from a personal intrigue with herbs in cocktails. Rosemary seemed like the perfect pairing for a red-based drink. Plus you can use any leftover herbs for a savoury, roasted dish like potatoes and/or chicken and feel free to drink this cocktail with something of the same variety. The cranberry juice links up nicely with the Moscato, and a bit of soda water gives the bubbly effect an extra kick. This was super easy and fast to put together and gets bonus points for the rosemary looking like dangling mistletoe.

1 bottle Yellow Tail Red Moscato Bubbles
2 cups red or white cranberry juice
1 cup soda water
1 package fresh rosemary sprigs

Method

1.     Slowly stir the bottle of Yellow Tail Red Moscato Bubbles in a pitcher with cranberry juice and club soda
2.     Pick off the leaves from rosemary sprig, finely chop and stir in with Moscato, soda and juice mixture
3.     Pour over ice and garnish with rosemary spring

Jazz up the garnishes and include a lime wedge. Or take this further into sangria territory by adding a tasteful smattering of fresh raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries.

Cheers!
