If you’ve got a budding young writer on your hands, get them to Goldhawk Park branch (295 Alton Towers Circle) for Making It Up, led by acclaimed author of Speechless, Jennifer Mook-Sang.

Jennifer will walk kids aged 8-12 through the process of creating their own stories; from finding inspiration, to building characters, describing the world, and making their masterpieces shine. All that is required is imagination – and get ready to write! The program runs every Saturday from May 20th to June 10th, 2-3:30 p.m.

This workshop was created as part of Sophie’s Studio, an ongoing series that supports early literacy, creativity and writing skills in young children, thanks to a bequest from long-time library lover and user Sophia Lucyk.
