Colour! Ruffles! Silk! Jennifer Waters and her label House of Groves was a throwback to the 1930s and 1970s for her SS11 collection. I recently checked out Waters’ preview for the Toronto Fashion Incubator with a focus on darker pieces and edge for FW11 and my love affair with House of Groves continues on Day 3 of LG Toronto Fashion Week.

Toronto Fashion Incubator Gives us a Preview of Upcoming Toronto Fashion Talent

The Exhibition grounds in Toronto don’t exactly scream “fashion,” and with that most of the workmen on the grounds were confused as to what I was wearing and why I was wandering around looking for something called the “Toronto Fashion Incubator.” One man offered this piece of advice: “Lady, I think you’re looking for Paris and you ain’t gonna find it here.” read more...
