If you are like us, you may not have what it takes to do a triathlon, but we are totally down to walk the downtown core in support of street kids. Join us! Let’s drink Starbucks coffee, (sponsor! yay!) chat, wander and help raise money for homeless youth. Sound like a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon? Yes yes, it is!

Registration is only $25 and you can sign up NOW or just show up on Saturday and register on site. The walk kicks off from Dundas Square, you can register starting at 1:15pm and we begin our march at 3pm.

As Canada’s largest youth shelter, Covenant House Toronto provides some 4,000 kids a year with life-changing services and support so they can move from a life on the street to a life with a future. Their mission is simple: To serve suffering children of the street, and protect and safeguard all children… with absolute respect and unconditional love. Covenant House equips them with what they need most: food, clothing, a shower and immediate medical attention.

Toronto street kids fast facts:
– As many as 10,000 youth spend some time on the streets annually in Toronto.
– About 50% of homeless youth come from upper- and middle-class families.
– Almost 70% of homeless youth report experiencing abuse in one or more of its forms

Who is up for this? It’s such an easy way to help make a difference and it’s frankly a nice time of year to stomp around downtown before it gets too chilly. Which is yet another reason why this is important right now. Our streets are cold
